Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and have fun," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she's able to get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to wider groups, especially with youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
